My small audio cave

I have to admit I am lucky to have one room entirely dedicated to audio.
this is my cave and it is living it's own life, as my daughter put it yesterday.
It is relatively small 4x4 m with 2,8 m height. Over the years I tried set ups on all walls, and this one is the best sonically.
The wall with the window is slanted due to the roof slope. this kind of irregularity saves this room as square plan is not optimal.
As you know the room is probably the most important component of an audio system, then loudspeakers. This combination has by far the biggest impact on the sound.
My listening position is a classic equilateral 2,2m triangle. Fullrange drivers at the height of my ears when listening. Recently I added boxes to the back wall to further eliminate the back reflection. the same with two pieces on the ceiling.
The foam on the ceiling of the window opening was placed years ago, as I perceived this cavity with reflecting surface in the shape of lens reinforcing sound waves in a specific way as rally detrimental to the sound.
Side walls are more than 1 m off the speakers so no that big problems with reflections.
I do prefer diffusion over the absorption, especially with wide band loudspeakers. This allows for the sound to be rich and alive.
I feel now I have really great listening experience. Full immersion. As you see on the photo, my main speakers are Blocks with OKHO on top.
Open Baffle design works perfectly here. No, two bass units are not to much, just perfect. And you know it once you want to take one pair out. It is not about more bass but it is about easier more effortless rendition.
all the best
