Audio Note OTO is build with el 84 tubes.
Never had an opportunity to listen to it but I suppose it should be great match. I very much like the el 84. This tube always sounded good with OGY when tried with other el 84 amps.
The Single Ended version especially should be excellent…

From my many interactions with OGYs and e-mail exchanges with OGY owners, it is really revealing how much they like the diversity. But still the big picture that emerges is that OGY appreciates good amplifiers that have a lot of body. Then this translates into fuller sound for the OGY. It matches we...

My small audio cave
I have to admit I am lucky to have one room entirely dedicated to audio. this is my cave and it is living it's own life, as my daughter put it yesterday. It is relatively small 4x4 m with 2,8 m height. Over the years I tried set ups on all walls, and this one is the best sonically. The wall with the...

Rameau & Debussy: 150 Years Apart, Same DNA I’ve been spinning this Víkingur Ólafsson album almost every week lately, and it’s just stunning. If you haven't heard it yet, you're missing out on a masterclass in both mood and recording quality. What’s the deal with this pairing? Even though there'...

Re: Full OGY… with Class AB amplifiers
4 mm version will sound different. That is for sure. From my experience 4mm has even more body, but as always the whole set up is important for the end result. With transistors it can be good choice. At the end your ear will tell you

Re: Bi-amping Ogy+Blank+Bob
Hi,
Thanks for sharing your experience. True having a Behringer units makes possible to test a lot of set ups.
And in fact bi amping in this case has a big impact. It works both ways adding or subtracting bass. Yes some rooms and places have to much.
Have fun
Jacek
